Why I've been away from the Forum so long

I've gotton a couple of e-mails from long time Forum participants saying they are glad to see me back (thank you!). I know you're wondering why I've been away for so long, so I thought I'd let you know.

As many of you know, I've been dealing with infertility for a few years, and have had 2 miscarriages. What most of you don't know, however, is that I finally got pregnant again, with the help of Pergonal. I am now 16 weeks pregnant, and until a few weeks ago I was utterly exhausted, sleeping over 12 hours a night and taking a nap as soon as I got home from the office. I also was pretty darn nauseated, but after 2 miscarriages, I would say a prayer of thanks every time I threw up.

I'm feeling MUCH better now and hope to get here once or twice a week to answer a few questions. I won't be able to answer as many as I used to (I have a problem saying "no" and besides my practice I am chair of our hospital department, on the board of the local Soroptomist chapter, head of a Soroptomist committee and in charge of getting vinters to come to our fundrising winetasting, write another internet column, grocery shop, cook, and do the laundry!) I tend to scroll thru the questions and answer ones that catch my eye or are about something I'm particularily interested in (like pregnancy after miscarriage), and I think most of us do the same thing (I did read the "answer my question" post). I also got tired of having people post to my private e-mail and ask questions -- that's a big no-no and will drive docs away form here faster than anything.

So, when I can get hubby to fix dinner, and when my growing baby allows (the next 12 weeks should be good), I'll answer a few questions.
