Re: PMS & Alcohol

Hi Angie,

First off alchol is a Depressent!!! The first drink or so makes most of us (me included) happy, outgoing and extra livly, but this is a false feeling because the true effects of alchol is to depress the central nervous system. So with that in mind lts think about PMS for a minute. Raging Hormones, high level of excitibility, a bit of rage, crying for no good reason or perhaps a bit of an ulgy disposition ect. Of course I have never had any of these problems because there was no such thing as PMS when I was young enough to have had it. We gals were just "that time of month" gals. Well we did have it it just didn't have a name.

So with this in mind I guess alcohol is not a good mix at least at this time of the month. I am not anti drinking but I do think we should all keep in mind the effect it has on us as indivigual women and chose what works best for us. Maybe a week off at that time of the month is not a bad idea. It's at least worth checking out.

Good question, Barbara
