Re: answer question in the order received (long)From: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 23 Jun 1998 14:04:56 -0500 (CDT)
Gina, I am not one of the professionals on this forum, but I do enjoy and appreciate the service this forum provides. I would like to offer my opinion about your concern. Since the health professionals on this forum are volunteering their services, they have complete discretion regarding which questions they choose to answer. I don't think there is a "dispatcher" assigning questions to particular people. They are not obligated to answer any particular question and I am sure there are some questions that never get a response. Each member of the panel has their own reasons for choosing to respond or not respond to particular question. It may be that the panel member who would have chosen to answer your question simply has not done so yet. However, complaining about the service will not inspire anyone to respond to your question and may even discourage some professionals from participating at all. In my opinion, no one is "entitled" to a response at all, let alone a response that is provided "in turn". If you have a problem that you believe "deserves" a response, you should consult your own doctor or nurse. I am amazed that so many doctors and nurses donate their time to answer the questions on this forum. Please appreciate the service they do provide instead of criticizing the manner in which it is deliverd. Andrea
