I was in labor for 2 days before I dilated to 6-7cm and my water broke just before the delivery. Dr.s contemplated incompetent cervix but then said I had labor too long for it to be IC. Their diagnosis was"preterm labor"(there was no evidence of infection or abnormalities with babies' autopsys). Am I destined to keep losing my babies before the point of viability or can I look forward to carrying a singleton to near term? We are trying to get pregnant again but the fear is unrelenting. Any advice. The Dr. said that I will be monitored weekly and be on bedrest for second trimester. Is there anything else I can do. Do I have reason to have hope? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
