Ovulation or Cysts? Is the following a symptom of ovulation or ovarian cysts? First day of my last menstrual period: May 30. Symptom: quite a bit of pain in my lower left abdomen going down the top of my left thigh yesterday (June 15). I did have a bit of pain (but less) in my lower left abdomen starting on June 12/13. Today I don't have the pain anymore. How does a woman distinguish between normal ovulation pain (mittelschmirtz) and something else like cysts? By the way, I stopped taking the pill (Minestrin) March 27 and since mid-May have been trying to get pregnant. Thank you for your advice.
