What is the difference in life expectancy...5 years at least I think? Would you trade 'female problems' for 5 years of life (presuming of course the problems themselves are not life-threatening). Also, as women age, they tend to remain more mentally alert than men for a longer time. If I recall, a recent study actually found that men's brains shrink quite rapidly as they age while women's don't! Also, I personally prefer to be the one with the choices and reponsibilities associated with bringing children into the world. Men have choices and reponsibilities too, but not to the extent that women do. I like to be the one with the right to say, "OK I'm going to have this child!" A man can't make that decision, ultimately. Finally, I would never trade the close, intimate friendships I share with other women. No heterosexual man I know has ever achieved such a high level of intimacy with same-sex friends. I hope that these can put a more positive light on being female, despite the physical difficulties!
