In answer to your question: Yes. Pregnancy and standing can do this. If you exercise and wear supportive stockings, then you're doing what you can. Since the problem is just in one knee, perhaps you should see a vascular surgeon and see if there is something wrong with the veins in your knee on that side which may be giving you this problem. It may be surgically correctable.
