Progesterone suppositoriesFrom: Jas (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 5 Jun 1998 20:36:56 -0500 (CDT)
My Dr. prescribed progesterone suppositories to hopefully lenghten my LP and to see if this would correct spotting I've been having each cycle at 8dpo. The instructions the nurse gave me were as follows....Start suppositories the day after I ovulate and use 2x per day. Stop suppositories on the day I would expect my period to begin and do a pg test. Then proceed to do the same for next cycles. Here are my questions. 1. Will I still be able to see a dip and rise while charting BBT's to know when ovulation occurs (I read where these suppositories elavate BBT)? 2. What becomes day one of my cycle when I stop the suppositories since I won't get an actually period or will I get a red flow? 3. Will an OPK be affected by these suppositories or will it still work to predict ovulation? I'm really not understanding how I will know where my new cycle begins if I don't get bleeding with these. Any insights would help. Thanks, Jenn
