Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Bleeding after Orgasms" Recently I have been having light bleeding after (or during) orgasms. The bleeding looks like a small blood clot, and I thought it might be due to my PCOS, even though I have the syndrome without having the cysts. I've also been taking Metformin for 3 1/2 months, and e-mailed my doctor to ask if the bleeding could be caused by the Metformin. He said he's never heard of bleeding after orgasms, and doesn't know what it means. I have felt a little queasy and have had some lower back pain lately, but am reluctant to connect these symtoms with PCOS because Metformin often makes me queasy and lower back pain can have many causes. I'm getting a little worried about this, so I'll appreciate any insights.
