Usually they are used until somewhere between 10 and 14 weeks of pregnancy (when the placenta takes over) or until menstruation begins. Progesterone does make the temp rise so it seems logical that it would drop again when the supplementation is discontinued..and perhaps it takes a few days to get out of her system enough to show the drop. I was on 50mg progesterone suppositories last year and continued them into my 14th week of pregnancy. Perhaps one of the wonderful docs can provide a medical opinion on this for you - and your friend. Mary
