PCO - recurrence after drilling?From: A. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 24 May 1998 02:55:27 -0500 (CDT)
I apparently have PCOS, though I display none of the common symptoms like difficulties with weight, excess hair, etc. I had my ovaries 'drilled' in November of 1996 and conceived immediately thereafter. I'm told that once you have PCOS, you always have it (or so I gathered at the PCO chat recently). But, since my period resumed, 4 months post-partum, it's been mostly regular, and that's unusual for me. 1. Does this mean I'm probably ovulating normally? 2. If so, how long may I hope for this normal ovulation to continue before I start, um, misfiring again? Thank you, --angela
