Breast Ca ?

A beloved member informed our family (which includes many in the medical field) that she had breast cancer. For treatment she consulted a cosmetic surgeon rather than an oncologist stating that the choice was cost-effective.

Is it customary for cosmetic surgeons to treat cancerous lesions?

This same dear loved one recently underwent a hysterectomy to remove what she reported to be a 17-20lb uterine cyst which she states her physician diagnosed 6 months ago.

How common are uterine cysts of this size? Is it prudent to wait 6 mos. for removal?

In both incidences pathology reports are not offered.

Familial love clouds our objectivity in both instances.

It is difficult to be therapuetic when she perceives any inquiry as doubting. We desire only her healing.
