For treatment she consulted a cosmetic surgeon rather than an oncologist stating that the choice was cost-effective. Is it customary for cosmetic surgeons to treat cancerous lesions? This same dear loved one recently underwent a hysterectomy to remove what she reported to be a 17-20lb uterine cyst which she states her physician diagnosed 6 months ago. How common are uterine cysts of this size? Is it prudent to wait 6 mos. for removal? In both incidences pathology reports are not offered. Familial love clouds our objectivity in both instances.
