necessity of abstinance after cervical cerclage

I am looking for new info on the necessity of sexual abstinance following placement of cerclage due to short cone length. I have heard talk that there may be no real basis for not being active. I have never lost a child due to incompetent cervix and am now 21 weeks along with Mc Donald cerclage in place. Cone length is 2.5 with no shortening or contractions. Any info or guidence to written studies is greatly appreciated!
