Endo and PregnancyFrom: Anita (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 21 May 1998 05:38:17 -0500 (CDT)
I have been a sufferer of Endometriosis since I was 20 years of age. I am now 28 and things can to ahead in December last year. I was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. The pain was constant and not only when my periods were due. I had a consultation with a specialist in January this year who suggested another laporoscopy or Hormone Therapy for 6 months. My main aim at this stage in my life was to have a baby but this was not suggested. I was discharged with the recommendation of going on the pill. Two months later and guess what, I'm expecting! I believe endo has a high infertility rate and women can sometimes get very anxious about making babies. I am proof it does happen and with me it was sooner rather than later!
