Ultrasound, femur length & down's syndromeFrom: Heather (hlsst7+@pitt.edu)Wed, 20 May 1998 21:26:57 -0500 (CDT)
I just had an ultrasound and the femur length is long for her gestational age compared to the rest of the baby. I told this to a friend and they said it might indicate down's syndrome. Is this correct? What is the ratio at which the dr. is concerned? My dr. didn't mention anything about this. The triple screen came back negative. Here is the data from the ultrasound report: cm wks BPD 4.9 20.8 CI 80% HC 18.6 20.8 AC 16.0 20.8 FL 3.7 22.0 Tibia 3.2 21.8 Humerus 3.7 22.9 Ulna 3.3 22.7 Radius 2.8 21.2
