Planning pregnancy and taking Bactrim (generic type)?? I didn't think anything of it, until later on when i read the pamphlet that comes with the medicine. It says that "if you plan on becoming pregnant dicuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy". Now, i knew there were certain medicine that you weren't supposed to take and you should always check with your doctor before taking anything when you're pregnant, but i never even thought about this to apply also i wanted to become pregnant while or after i stopped taking the medicine... My question then would be : - is it safe to conceive while taking Bactrim - SMZ/TMP DS ? (my prescription is for 1 twice a day). - if not, how long after i finish taking it do i have to wait before i can start conceiving? (how long will the antibiotic be in my system after i take the last pill?). Thank you in advance for your time and i hope you will have an answer for me.
