Antibodies

I have a question. I've lost 2 pregnancies. The first one being at 8wks the second one at 23wks due to premature labor. I do a lot of reading and research and am curious about antiphosphiolipid antibodies, anticardiolipin antibodies, and lupus anticoagulant. I've approached my dr about these and he said that he will test me for these when I get pregnant again. I'm curious to know why do I have to wait to get pregnant again to be tested for these antibodies and why isn't it something that can be checked for now? Thanks so much to all of you for taking the time to answer all of our questions.
