Prolactin has a diurnal rhythm-hi in AM.May vary with phase of cycle.Missing periods may lead to abnormal proliferation of uterine lining(endometrium)and increase risk of uterine cancer.Also-prolonged anovulation may also lead to an in- crease of ovarian androgen production and it's consequences.
