Elevated BBT after midcycle is usually indicative of ovulation and increased ovarian progesterone production to thicken the uterine lining(endometrium)for fertilized egg implantation. This is "good."An endometrial biopsy done approx. 7 days after presumed ovulation can also detect this;and possibly offer explanation for late cycle spotting.
