Stuff like this happens all the time. Presuming someone is not pregnant, the other reason for a missed period (barring in menopause in older patients) is anovulation. Lack of ovulation may be a further extension of your irregularity prior to your pregnancy. It can also be PCO with attendant irregularity and other abnormalities, a thyroid irregularity, prolactin irregularity or nothing at all!

Usually Provera will bring on a period if you have already built up a lining in the uterus. No lining, no period. You need to discuss these possibilities and options with your doctor.
