Options for treatment of a submucous fibriod

I am a 40 year old female with a 3.7 cm submucous fibroid attached to the front wall of my uterus. An attempt was made to remove it through hysteroscopic resectioning without pre-treatment using Luperon (at my request). Only approx. half was removed as the surgery became too difficult due to blood loss. As I understand it, I now have three options: 1. wait and see what, if any, relief I get from having half of the fibroid gone; 2. use Luperon for 2 mos then attempt another hysteroscopic resection; or 3. hysterectomy. I am going with option 1 but need information to guide me should my fibroid related problems continue (severe pain and excessive flooding and clotting with extremely long periods). I am extremely concerned about the adverse effects associated with Luperon and consequently am not willing to use it. As I still wish to attempt to have a child, I would prefer to avoid a hysterectomy. Are there any other alternatives?
