There are advantages to keeping it and advantages to removal.

In favor of keeping it is support for your pelvic organs (bladder, vagina, rectum). Some believe the uterus/cervix is related to orgasms. This has not been proven conclusively and may be different for different people.

In favor of removal is the elimination of the chance for cancer of the uterus and cervix. These are usually (not always) found early and easily treatable in their earliest stages (with cervix it's usually precancerous and found with a pap). Another concept is the elimination of problems with the uterus when using ERT (HRT would be with an intact uterus).

You have to decide what advantages and disadvantages you feel most confortable with.

Good luck.
