Secondary amenorrhea for four yearsFrom: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 24 Apr 1998 16:50:59 -0500 (CDT)
Dear all, I'm a 19 year old white caucasian. I've been doing some research on my condition, but I don't know what to do. I reached menarche at age 10 and had a period fairly regular and the latest was 60 days. The last period I had was in late June of 1994. It lasted about 10 days and was quite heavy. Because I matured early having a period was always an inconvenience to me so I didn't get concerned. I'm not sexually active and I'm only 10 pounds over weight for my height of 5'1". I might have a small amount of excess hair growth on my face, but it probably has been since the onset of puberty. Excess hair follicles is heritary. I read where having a clear stringy discharge is a signal that a female is ovulating and I do have a discharge once a month. I don't know of anyone in my family that has had this problem...I've heard that they been as regular as clockwork. Should I be concerned? I'm open for advice. Thank you.
