Re: absurd question about cavities and semenFrom: Marna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 19 Apr 1998 23:20:36 -0700
Hi Mary- Well gee, what an interesting question. I have scoured the net and all my medical books and haven't found a thing. I do know that semen can take on odors and can taste differently depending on what the diet of your partner is. You know, if you are comfortable, you could call your dentist and ask him if the substance in semen could be causing cavities. If not, then try this experiment. After you and your partner finish engaging in oral sex, then get up and rinse your mouth out, or better yet, have a gargle with a bit of Listerine or some other mouthwash and see if that helps. But what an interesting question.
