Nursing "full time"without supplementation should supress ovulation for at least 3 months-and possibly decrease androgen surge.Recent study suggested ovarian supression may last to 6 months.I've used low dose combined BCP in nursing moms for more than than 10 years, once milk is "established" and not seen problems with baby growth and development. Believe this was widely studied in So.America and India years ago, also without detriment.Return of ovulation and fertility after DepoProvera less predictable-thou it may increase protein content of milk.
