Mary, The only OCs that are commonly used while nursing are the progestin only OCs such as Micronor. I'm not sure if they slow hair growth as well as combined OCs.

Some women do take the combined OCs while nursing. I think it is safe for mother and baby, but it does cut down on milk production.
