Clomid and breastfeeding

From: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)

I am 4 1/2 weeks postpartum and am trying to mentally plot the time my hubby and I would like to begin trying for our last baby.

I have PCO/anovulatory cycles so I will need clomid again. We would like to begin trying to get pregnant in the fall. I want to keep breastfeeding as long as possible (at least a year - baby born 3/10/98).

Can clomid be taken while breastfeeding?

Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Mary
