Both were treated with low dose Elavil (10mg. in AM, 20 mg. at night). Both responded significantly within a week. If persistant or unresponsive, and diagnosis confirmed by neurology consult, the nerve can be interrupted surgically by a laparoscopic technique which I saw demonstrated at a major laparoscopic meeting in September, in Seattle. BTW, both patients did not have a history of any predisposing condition, and both resolved after several months. Dr.B
