Alesse, like all other estrogen containing birth control pills, is not indicated for use in a breastfeeding woman. A progestin-only birth control pill like Micronor, or DepoProvera injections, are indicated for contraception in a breastfeeding mom. Estrogen containing pills may interfere with milk production. This new mom should talk to her doc about changing ot Micronor or DepoProvera.
