I know of the increased chance of pregnancy because of the antibiotic. I am not worried about that as I am married and we do want another child so although I'm not planning on getting pregnant now, if I did it would not be a bad thing. However, I do worry about the fact that if I did get pregnant, I could possibly go a month using the minocycline and the bc pill before I knew I was pregnant. How harmful could this be to the fetus? Is minocycline a teratogen? Is it known to cause any problems if inadvertently taken during the early weeks of a pregnancy? And what about the birth control pill? How harmful is this if taken during the first month of pregnancy before you would miss a period and know you were pregnant?
