Gerri,

If you're having irregular bleeding, generally indicating some abnormality of ovulatory function, it is possible that you might be having pain from ovarian cysts. Everyone HAS them, but they get larger if you don't ovulate appropriately. So you need a check up by your doctor... if for no other reason than your excessive bleeding.
