In November of 1997 I had a cyst removed, along with the left ovary. This surgery was performed in the US, and the gyn only had 6 weeks to observe and release me for travel. I had been on the Nordisk pack. one a day, 2mg., for premenapausal symptoms, and he suggested waiting to see what happened as far as prescribing hrt.( he is in the US, I am not) I am an expat living in Malaysia now, and after consulting with a gyn here, fsh levels were evaluated and I am in full menapause. She prescribed Climen (by Schering) which appears to be the same thing I was taking (different pharmcuetical company), only I take this one 21 days as opposed to monthly. The dosage is still 2.mg, is this safe? She said they were all the same, please advise. I am 50 years old, in good health, small frame 5'3", 125, caucasian, low blood pressure, no health problems.
