colposcopy

I just had a colposcopy today because of 2 abnormal pap smears. The first pap smear that came back abnormal was done when I was approx. a month pregnant (complete ob physical). The second pap smear abnormality was done during my routine post partum physical. I was told that pregnancy and post partum has a great deal to do with receiving "abnormal" pap smear results due to hormonal changes. However, I read that the M.D. will only take a biopsy if he sees anything unusual with the microscope. My physician today, stated he didn't see anything unusual but went ahead and did a biopsy anyway. - Should I be concerned? Also, I had chlamydia once during the early 80s - does STDs give you an abnormal pap smear result and how come I haven't had any abnormal results until now? I am 38 and just recently had my 2nd and last child. She was 10 pounds, 7 oz at birth.

Also, I had some discomfort this afternoon when sitting down, especially on the floor with my 3 yr old. Is this normal?

Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
