Lupron shot. . . did I hit a vein?

I was giving myself a Lupron shot this morning and I checked for blood and didn't see any, but when I took the needle out it bled more than usual and was quite dark. I tried looking at the inside of the syringe at that point to see if there was any blood and couldn't tell. Here's my question: what would happen if I did put Lupron directly into a vein? It didn't hurt any more than usual. After this I fealt quite nauseous and light headed, but that could've been a fainting reaction from the blood :) What do you think? Chrissy
