I have had chronic cervicitis and also fibroids. My doctor wants to remove my ovaries since he says that I am 41 and not so far away from menopause. His argument is that I should not risk ovarian cancer (although there is no family history) and that eventually, my ovaries may have to come out anyway. I have agreed to the hysterectomy, but am unsure of what to do about my ovaries. Any suggestions or information would be helpful.
