Dear Lucy, This subject has been addressed from a couple different angles here on the forum. If you search the Archives for "hymen" You should find the discussion on this. The basic synopsis was/is this: An intact hymen is NOT a condition of virginity. Many women tear their hymen through everyday activities, others have intact hymen even after repeated intercourse. Virginity is a condition of NEVER having had penile penetration of the vagina. Once this has occured you can't go back- you are not a virgin- and replacing the hymen (if even possible) will not restore your virginity.
