Terminolgy Help for TranscriptionFrom: Darcy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 4 Mar 1998 18:27:08 -0600 (CST)
I know this isn't the best place to ask for help, but it is a GYN report so it kind of pertains! :-) I'm working on a discharge summary from a hospital on a patient with pelvic inflammatory disease. She was treated with antibiotics and has had similar flare ups in the past. She was consulted by both the GYN and a general surgeon, who recommended something that sounded like "pelvic peanut." I'm assuming this must be a procedure of some kind or a result of one. Anyway, the patient refused, because of her nulligravida status. I would really appreciate any help on this that any of you wonderful OB-GYN physicians might be able to offer. It's really bugging me not being able to figure this out! :-) Or, if any of the women who read the posts have experience with this, feel free to respond also! If the answer would not pertain to the forum's interest, please feel free to e-mail me off line. I am sorry if this post causes any problems, but I felt it was better to do it this way than to send e-mails privately. Thanks,
