Hi Tammy,

Just wanted to let you know you have nothing to worry about. :-)

Unfortunately, all the books and even the info they send you home with from most hospitals are pretty much misleading, in that they all pretty much say that your bleeding will fade in color over the first week. WRONG!!! At least in my case. I continued to bleed just as much as the day I left the hospital for the next four weeks. I checked with my OB nurse a couple of times and was told that you can bleed at anytime for the first 6 weeks.

If your bleeding starts to lighten up and then becomes heavier again, it could be a sign that you're trying to do too much. But if it's not getting heavier, just consider it normal for you. In a few weeks (at most) this will all be just a memory. :-)
