Sherise, I don't think that your baby's weight or head size were as much a problem for you as the fact that he (she?) was posterior. As Dr. Marchbein said, it is not a good idea to sacrifice nutrition in hopes of a smaller baby. However, there ARE things you can do to prevent another posterior baby. Valerie El Halta wrote a wonderful article on posterior babies, I think you can access it through ICAN. There is also a booklet written by two midwives in New Zealand that addresses posterior presentation. It is called _Optimal Foetal Positioning_ by Jean Sutton and Pauline Scott. The ISBN is 0-473-04135-9. I'm sure a bookstore would be able to order it for you with the number. It is only 12.00, and has lots of great tips on how to avoid posterior presentation, and what to do if a baby is posterior. You also might find the ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) to be a good source of information for you. You can get on their email list through the following website: http://www.fensende.com/Users/swnymph/ Hope this helps.
