Maybe it was a huge follicle and it did >have an egg???

Sure could have, or maybe it had already released the egg and was now slightly larger as a corpus luteum cyst.

>Is this too big for a follicle?

The average ovulatory follicle is about half that size, but follicles in Clomid cycles have been measured in the 30's mm.
