Follicle size-can they be TOO big?

Thank you for your quick response to my question on small follicles. Dr. Lovely asked if the LH surge was from a urine test...they actually determined that my LH was 26 with a blood test on Friday AM. I got the HCG shot at 1AM Friday and the IUI at 8AM Sat. I talked to my RE today and the nurse reassured me that the DR wouldn't do the IUI if there was no chance of it working. When I asked her about the follicles, she said the small ones (6mm) were on my right ovary, but that I had one that measured 46mm on the left. The only word I had heard them describing this was "cyst", not follicle. Maybe it was a huge follicle and it did have an egg??? You were soooo helpful, reassurring and knowledgable with my last question, I had to turn to you to ask your opinion once again. Is this too big for a follicle? I just don't know what to think anymore. Have you ever heard of anything like this (is it common) and can I get PG with something this size? I realize that I'm grasping at straws here, but I can't help it. Thanks again...I hope this is the last time I have to bother you.
