frequent urination before menstruation, severe cramps months after miscarriage

I experienced a miscarriage in October of this year. Since then, I have severe cramps which start approximately 2 to 3 day after ovulation and continue through the end of my period. My doctor prescribed Motrin and really didn't have an explanation for what is happening. Is there some explanation for this? Also, since this time I have been unable to get pregnant again. I use ovulation kits month after month, but something isn't quite right. This month, the kit predicted an LH surge and then three days went by and I tested again just for fun and it showed an LH surge again. I am definitely performing the tests correctly. What could be happening?

Also, approximately 10 days before my period starts, I have to urinate very frequently. I go to the bathroom up to 20 to 25 times a night. I always think I must have an infection, but the test is always negative. I am extremely uncomfortable. My Doctor says this is probably just my brain signaling my body that it's almost time to start my period. Is this common? I am so very uncomfortable. I can't sleep at night because I run to the bathroom every five minutes. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
