Excellent point, Barbara! Factual and positive experience related from people who've been there is the best teacher, IMHO as well. I had my two boys without meds (one is 14 the other 4) and I have to say my birth experiences, though not pain free, were positive ones. I consider myself lucky to have the benefit of friends who didn't dish out scare stories before I had my children. Knowledge is a powerful tool - especially when it is given in a positive light. Perhaps the other gals on this forum could pass along some of their positive stories as an encouragement to all the members of the PG Brigade here. Those old wives tales gotta go!!!!
