Post Hysterectomy Question :-)

Hi,

I just had a vaginal hysterectomy on February 2 and I feel wonderful! The ovaries were not removed ( I'm 36 yrs ).

I have only one question... my lower stomach area below my rib cage (and right above the waist line) is sore and bothers me if I sit up. Is this type of discomfort usual for a vaginal procedure? Keep in mind that my lower abdomen feels great--absolutely no pain.

I can only eat very little at a time before I feel that discomfort in the lower stomach area and my bowels are normal (with the help of stool softeners).

Any comments would be appreciated because I see my OBGYN on Tuesday and would like to know what type of questions to ask.

Thanks ! :-) Diane
