vaginal Escherichia coliFrom: worried (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 22 Feb 1998 16:48:06 -0600 (CST)
My doctor diagnosed me having a yeast infection vaginosis & Escherichia coli. I have been using anti biotics for 4 months. during the course of treatment the sysmptons go away & the e-coli comes back w/in 2 days of stopping. I know it is a bacteria that is found in the intestines. how could I get it in my vagina? why won't it go away. if Ecoli can cause liver and kidney problems what will it do to my female reproductive system. is this common in women? who should I go to, to help me cure this condition?
