Marchbein, M.D. FACOG Just to be fair, the HSG (hysterosalpingogram) has the advantage of showing whether or not the tubes are blocked. Also, I think that HSG is better at delineating intrauterine adhesions, if present. But the SHG does seem to be more comfortable.
