Tiredness and memory loss after hysterectomyFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 22 Feb 1998 14:17:38 -0600 (CST)
Three years ago I had a hysterectomy and both ovaries removed. Since then, I always have had trouble going to sleep at night (usually 2 or 3 a.m. and up at 6 a.m.) and memory loss. I went to the doctor last year about it, and he checked my thyroid level, which was okay. Since it has been getting worse, I really want to have it checked out with a new doctor. I would like to know what tests,if any, should be done? Currently, I'm not taking any ERT. I have tried Premarin and Climara in the past but couldn't take them because of the side-effects. I'm 38, if that makes any difference. Thank you for your time in answering my question. Ann
