My sister who is 27 years old and is now in her 30th week of pregnancy has been found to have umbilical sigle artery. Up to now her pregnancy has gone by with no problems whatsoever. We have been told that this can cause the baby to be born with trisomy. At this stage she is being treated with celestone injections so the lungs can be developed faster. This is the first time that we hear about this sindrome, please if possible send me some information that can give us an idea of what to expect or any treatments, if any. Thank you.
