vulvular sensitivityFrom: Anissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 13 Feb 1998 16:55:45 -0600 (CST)
About 12 months ago my OBGyn switched my oral BC from Ortho Novum 777 to Nordette due to possible endometriosis. My blood pressure sky rocketed, I gained ~10 lbs.(water wt.), and I saw changes in my vulva. Due to the high blood pressure, she switched me to Allese (been on 6 mo. now). My blood pressure lowered and some of the weight has come off, but my vulvular tissue isn't normal. Sex is more painful, I can not wear jeans or use tampons due to the string causing discomfort. These are just examples of the increased sensitivity in the vulvular region. I know I'm not imagining this. Can the hormonal change cause this or should I be looking in another direction? I have been treated for yeast infections and gyn exams have shown nothing unusual. Sorry for my lenghthiness and thank you for you time.
