Susan, I had PUPPS also in my last trimester. It was making me quite, *quite* crazy. I looked like I'd been assaulted by a horde of mad mosquitoes. Like you, I tried everything - every kind of medicated cream available Over The Counter, oatmeal baths (those worked, by the way, but I couldn't spend all my time in the bathtub)...everything. In the end, my doctor prescribed Prednisone for me, and it worked; I was able to wean myself down from 3 pills/day to 0 pills per day, by reducing my dosage by a fraction of a pill each day rather than by a whole pill every few days (because when I did *that*, the rash came back. I was frantic). Prednisone is a very powerful and unpredictable drug, from what I'm told. I don't suggest you should ask your doctor to *prescribe* it, but if it isn't one of the 'oral steroids' you've already taken without success, perhaps you can ask your doctor if it might work for you, especially since you're not breastfeeding anymore. I wish you luck and freedom from itchiness as soon as possible!
